I am just starting my bariatric journey or newly

post op, what is your biggest piece of advice? 

 

Take it one day at a time. Know that the first couple of months are the hardest, you will be tested mentally, physically, and emotionally. But it is only temporary and you will come out of those first couple months stronger and more capable than you thought you ever could be. Find protein you enjoy (check out the Shop my Faves Tab), work on water intake, and give yourself time and grace to adapt. If you need help reach out, you don’t have to go this alone, that is what my coaching is designed for!

 

I am experiencing a stall, what do I do?

 

A true stall is no progress (scale, measurements, clothing, etc) for 4 weeks. So if the scale hasn’t moved for a week or two don’t panic just keep going. A stall is very common as we get closer to our goal weight. To combat stalls the best advice is to keep going, stay consistent, give your body time to adjust, and if it still won’t break look at your activity level and track your nutrition. Could you be eating more calories than you realize? Are you prioritizing protein? Are you getting your water in? How active are you? Could you change up your activity or increase it a bit? As a client these are the things we will work on 1:1 to help you combat stalls and not only lose the weight but keep it off for life.

Should I do a “pouch reset”?

 

Absolutely not. We did not have bariatric surgery to end up back in the old destructive diet patterns that got us stuck here. That is what the ‘pouch reset’ is, it is a crash diet that does not ‘shrink’ the pouch it just starves you for a week creating a loss of water weight and typically ends with you binging once you are done. If you are struggling on your journey or in a stall we can work through that in a healthier more productive way. Who are your 1:1 programs for?

I work mainly with Bariatric Clients but I can also help anyone looking to start their health and wellness journey. I work with clients who are pre op getting ready for surgery, newly post op needing guidance through the first phases of the process, and clients who are well into their journey but need more support and help to combat stalls, work on body image, build self love, get stronger and more fit, and who are moving into maintenance but feel lost and scared to regain. To be a good fit for my coaching you should be committed to your journey and open to change. We will be working against your comfort zone, unlearning old patterns of behavior, unlearning diet culture rhetoric that no longer serves you, and that requires openness, commitment, and willingness to try. If that sounds like you I would love to work with you!

What do I get with 1:1 Coaching and why is it a 6 mo program?

1:1 coaching is an investment. But you are getting so much more than what you would get from a typical gym personal trainer or nutrition coach. With my all in one coaching experience you get 3-4 workouts a week, you get weekly nutrition and meal planning guidance including macros if you are wanting to track, we work on your habits and routines to help set you up for success, each 50 min call is dedicated to talking through your struggles and your successes, we put together goals and an action plan to help you reach those goals, you also have continued support from me in between sessions via WhatsApp. I require a 6 mo commitment because I find that is typically how long clients work with me to start seeing lasting results. Real change isn’t produced in 30 days or even 90 days, but after 6 months of continued focus on your goals and the habits we work you will feel more confident, in control, and potentially ready to go it alone although many of my clients continue to work with me much longer.

Do you offer group coaching?

​

The 1:1 Master's Program comes with a group coaching component, however at this time I do not offer a group coaching only option. I am working on a group coaching only option, but at this time I don't have a set date for when that will be offered. Subscribe to my email list to stay updated on upcoming Workshops and be in the know about when new coaching options become available!

What results can I expect? How long will it take to see results? 

 

With this program results can vary only because your results are dependent on your individual goals for the next 6 months and the work you are willing to put in.

 

Most of my clients walk away from my programs with life changing mindset shifts, a better relationship with food, a better relationship with their bodies, and a revived love for movement (see below for testimonials). My clients have experienced improved energy, increase in strength and improved definition, more confidence and trust in themselves, improved health scores, etc. Some have lost weight, some have maintained, but all have said that they developed habits and routines that feel better, easy to maintain, and has changed their wellness journey for the better.

 

Like I mentioned above a lot of my clients work with me for at least 6 months (most go much longer) because it takes time to see lasting change. This is not a program for people looking for extreme methods or quick results. This is a program designed to help you create better longer lasting habits. That takes time which is why I created this to be a 6 mo format. If you apply my concepts, do the work, move your body, stick within your nutrition protocol, you will see results!

Do you offer refunds? Can I cancel in the middle of the 6 months?

 

No babe. That is why I ask that you be 100% committed when you sign up. The results are really on you to obtain. I guide you, give you advice, and help you along the way but it is up to you to deliver on the promises you make to yourself. I guarantee I will deliver on my promise to be there for you and provide everything I said I would provide when you signed up however your results are ultimately on you therefore I do not offer refunds or money back guarantees. I also do not allow for cancellations, again I am asking you for commitment to yourself and your goals for 6 months. So many of my clients don’t start seeing real progress on their routines and goals till about 3 months in, so you are cheating yourself if you quit early! Real change takes time! And that is what we are working on here, real lasting change.
